Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the results. Owsley County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.

When you email us, the message is kept as needed to prepare a response. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.

It provides general directions to records kept by the Owsley County sheriff and courts, the Kentucky State Police Records Branch, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes displayed on the website. A query submitted through one of those tools is governed by that company's privacy policy rather than this policy. We do not set the partner's retention or disclosure rules, so review its policy before entering a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Owsley County offices, Kentucky court systems, KSP resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy terms control the visit. Review those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across multiple websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that tracking.
